Chapter 9

Reckless

Michael and Jasmine headed home after the little firework show, giggling and joking around having fun with each other. Michael opened the front door and walked in, Jasmine stumbled behind him as he caught her. Jasmine laughed at her clumsy state. Michael flipped on the light switch and went up to his room hand in hand with Jasmine. She sat on his bed, taking her heels off, He looked at the time and it was almost midnight.

" We should really go get the girls." he told her.

Jasmine looked up at him, his back was turned to her, so she got up and switched off the lights. Michael called out to her," Jasmine, what are you doing?" Suddenly she tackled him to the bed. " What are you doing?" he asked again. Then there was a brief silence, and he told her," Oh, that's nice..."

The Next Day

Michael got up early in the morning to go pick up Nicole, Sasha, and Shauna from his cousin's house. They grabbed the things they took with them and headed out the door with him. They got in the car, while waiting for Michael to stop talking to his cousin and take them back to his house. When he got in the car, he could see that his friends were displeased.

" Something wrong?" he asked looked back at them, driving off. Nicole answered," Oh now you notice?"

" Whoa, what's gotten into you?" he replied. Nicole rolled her eyes, Sasha asked Michael," Why couldn't we have gone to the fireworks get together?" Michael looked up at his rear view mirror at all of them and automatically thought of Jasmine. " 'Cause Jas... She didn't want you guys there. I don't know, maybe she just wanted us to go alone. Like a date."

Shauna huffed," There is something weird about that girl. We don't like it, I don't think she likes us." Michael pulled his car into the front driveway and turned back at them, putting his finger up at them, he firmly said," Listen. There is nothing wrong with Jasmine, she seems to be okay with you guys around. Now when we go into this house, be on your best behavior." The girls just remained silent and got their stuff out the car.

Michael went up to the door and held it for them. Jasmine was standing there," What's wrong baby?" she tenderly caressed his shoulders. He began to rub his temples and said," Yeah, I'm fine." and walked up to the bathroom, looked in the medicine cabinet and reached for his headache pills.

Jasmine came in a little bit shortly and hugged him from behind. " Oh Michael. How about we go out for a walk, and you know. Have a little date at a restaurant down town." Michael looked in the mirror to his sweetheart behind him, and smiled.

" Okay, sure."

Jasmine grinned and left out the bathroom.

Later on that Day

Michael and Jasmine walked down stairs, walking towards the door. The girls were sitting in the living room, watching TV. Sasha saw them leaving, she asked," Where are you guys going?" Michael stopped and told her," For a walk. We'll be back in a while. Later, Jasmine and I are going on a date so Mark and Jason will be watching you guys again." Before someone could respond back, they left out the door.

Jason ran into the room, and slid across the floor. That put a smile on their faces to see him. Jason asked," So... I was-"

Nicole interrupted him," We know Jason. You were 'ease dropping'." she smiled at him again. Jason continued," Yes 'ease dropping' on you guy's conversation. Did Michael say Mark and I will be watching you again?" They all looked at each other and nodded. Jason ran and slid to the room Mark was in and yelled out," Mark we're babysitting again! Get the uno cards ready!"

Mark yelled back," Jason! I believe we are in the same room. I don't think the yelling was necessary" The girls laughed at them. Those two bodyguards and them were getting well along with each other.

7:00 PM

Michael and Jasmine had came back from their little walk they had to get ready for their little dinner date at the La Fonda restaurant. Jasmine had on a beautiful red dress and Michael had on a white and red tux. Michael went down stairs and looked at Jason and the others.

" Okay, we're going on our way." he stared Jason in eye," and Jason, no strip uno, what's wrong with you man?" Jason stuttered and looked back at Mark, who had a smirk on his face. Jasmine walked over to the front door with the limo driver. Michael looked at Mark," Watch them." he looked at the girls," Have fun without me" he flashed a playful smile at them and went to the door.

Michael kept looking over at Jasmine, making her blush a bit. " What?" she asked eating her food, trying to avoid eye contact. Michael told her," You look beautiful tonight. But then again, you're always beautiful" He took her free hand and kissed it. Jasmine was lost for words, she looked into this man's eyes. This man, who was telling her the sweetest things. Maybe she was falling for him, his eyes were so beautifully intense, staring back at her.

Then the lights started to dim around everyone, and a little classical music band began playing and everybody started clapping, watching. Jasmine looked at Michael, the band, and reached for her silver crystal purse, going through it. She realized she had forgotten her phone back at Michael's house. She swore under her breath.

" Something wrong?"

She turned around seeing Michael watching her. She just looked and then shook her head no, looked away with a worried look on her face.

Back at Michael's House

Jason and the girls were playing Uno again, while Mark watched TV. Nicole got up and said," Bathroom break for me." Jason looked at her and said," Hurry, we'll wait." Nicole walked up down the hallway into the bathroom. She noticed a Galaxy phone on the counter. Normally, she wouldn't go through it, until a message made it light up. She went over to it and it read: Don't forget to kill him tonight and then the girls... Nicole gasped and just went out the bathroom quickly.

She came back into the room. Mark saw the distress look on her face," Miss are you feeling alright?" He began raising up. Nicole ignored him and looked at Sasha and Shauna," I need to talk to you." Just then the house phone rang. Mark got up to get it and answered it.

" Hello?.... Yes.... Okay.... I will certainly do that now. Okay, bye." he turned around and saw all eyes on him, and he looked at the girls," Sorry, Michael wanted to take you 3 to Tito's house right away." Nicole's eyes widened," What!? No!" Mark grabbed his keys," I'm afraid you have no choice. Michael's demand."

Shauna came up to Nicole," What's wrong?"

At the Restaurant

Jasmine and Michael were in the lounge of the restaurant sitting on the couch alone, Jasmine kissing him repeatedly asked," Please, let's go back to your house." Michael held onto her, pulling her back a bit," The driver is almost here." Just when Jasmine was about to go for him again, the limo pulled up and Michael rose up. They went out the door and headed back home.

Jasmine looked at him biting her lip, and thought, Tonight, you die....I'm sorry..
