Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Travel

June 28th, 1992
Thursday, 12:25 PM
Los Angeles, California

The private jet had just landed at the airport. It was a big ordeal for Michael to convince the girls' parents into letting them go with him. Little did they know, that could have been the last time they see their parents. Michael's bodyguards helped them take their luggage out and settle into the limo. They all seemed so excited. Then Michael's phone vibrated in his pocket. He took it out and saw who was coming, it was the same man from two nights ago, labeled under J in his phone.

" Hold on, I'ma take this call." he held up his finger and walked a couple feet away. " Hello?" he answered.

" Got the girls?" said J.

He put one hand on his hip," Yes I got them." Michael answered hastily as he looked back at them. J went on," Good, Jackson, don't you blow it. Remember one month is the limit. Understand?"

" I understand that." and hung up in his face, Michael placed his phone back into his pocket. He massaged his temples and walked back to the others. " Everyone ready?" he asked grinning. They all nodded back in response as Michael climbed his way into the limo to sit in front of them.

On the way to Michael's house, they passed by an eerie looking building. Bob wires hanging against it, red stains everywhere, there was a symbol on it. What was it? What was in there? Shauna was the first to notice it," Michael?" she lightly tapped his knee. He seemed to be in a daze, but Shauna couldn't tell considering he is wearing sunglasses.

"...Michael?" she said again just a little louder. He scrunched his brows and relaxed his muscles a bit, and looked at her.

" Hmm?" he mumbled. " What was that building back there," she looked at him as she pointed," do you know?" Michael shifted his way to the window and looked. He lowered his eyes," I don't know what that place is. I never been there." he said in barely a whisper. Shauna was too distracted from going to his house and actually being in California to notice his mood swing, which gave Michael some relief.

Later on that day, everyone had their own guest rooms, the girls were settled into them. Michael was in his room, he turned all the lights off, and pulled the curtains closed. It was his thinking time.

" Why?" he said to himself," Why do I have to do this? What's the point?" Michael fell back onto his bed and closed his eyes. His head was killing him with migraines, eventually he fell asleep.

Nicole wasn't normally the one to sneak around but there was something about this 'trip' that bothered her. Her friend, Michael, all of a sudden wanted them to come to his house miles and miles away from their own? No, she wasn't buying it. She carefully opened the door to her room and slowly pushed her head out the door. The lights were on but no one was around so she left out. She walked around looking for something, anything that seemed out of the ordinary. Then she went through one drawer in the kitchen, the next one... and just when she was about to move the last one..

" Need something Nicole?" a voice in front of her alarmed her. She looked up and saw Michael standing with his arms crossed, waiting for an answer.

" Umm," Nicole stammered her words," Nothing. Just wanted to.." the deep chuckling from Michael made her stop and stare with alertness. He walked to her and said," Tomorrow, I'm going to take you guys out to dinner at a fancy restaurant. How about that?" he smiled. Nicole shrugged her shoulders. Michael continued," Maybe you should just go back to your room?" she hesitated a bit, looked back at the one drawer she didn't check, and went off to her room.

Maybe I'm just thinking too much, she thought to herself.

Michael stood there with his hands behind his back, waiting to hear the closing of a door. When he did, he went to the drawer she, luckily, didn't look through. Michael reached into it and removed the gun he had in there and walked back to his room. As he sat on his bed with it, he remembered all of the things he did with that gun, the many lives he had taken. Michael was confused, angry, and tired. He knew whenever one of them go in and out of their rooms from the security system he had installed. Whenever someone open their door to the guest room, a beep go off.

They're all smart but never would I think that one of them would go through my things like that, he thought and put his hands on his head, I'll put this whole house on lock down if I need to. They can't get away, that is, however, if they figure out what's really going on.

Michael walked out of his room and checked on each one of the girls, telling them about the dinner plan for tomorrow, and smiled on his way down stairs to the living room. He took out his cellphone and called someone.

" Janet, I need you to do something for me." he smile deviously.
